1903 – 1912


Known as a time of ‘consolidation and innovation’, Headmaster Prescott tackled the establishment of stability in the College’s staff. Prescott reintroduced a “modern stream” to the curriculum and the school eagerly approached its Golden Jubilee. With WW1 looming, the introduction of compulsory military training through Commonwealth Defence legislation placed further emphasis on the Cadet Corps as the boys threw themselves enthusiastically into drill and service training.
