Michael Morgan (ON 1964) Rowing Centre (MMRC)
The Michael Morgan (ON 1964) Rowing Centre (MMRC) is named after Michael Morgan OAM and provides an onsite rowing specific facility located in the Concordia Centre. Being located on the College campus means the time and cost involved in transporting boys to the Rowing Shed at Abbotsford is eliminated when dry land rowing practice or strength and conditioning work is scheduled.
The MMRC is a state of the art, all weather facility and has been largely funded through the generosity of many Old Boy Rowers who were either team mates of Michael Morgan during the 1960’s or who were coached by him between 1974 and 2000.
The Centre includes 8 Row Perfect’s, 16 Concept II Ergs with sliders, immediate feedback video technology and a Rowing specific Strength and Conditioning room with the foundation machines of bench pull, bench press and leg press as well as equipment to improve core strength and flexibility. This facility will maximise quality training and time that can be negatively impacted by competing users (other sports), poor weather or water and Sydney traffic to name a few.
Fundraising continues to complete the Centre and if you would like to make a tax deductible donation please Donate Here
